A Bright New Start

“Nothing endures but change.” ― Heraclitus

After 6 years as the President and CEO of the Urban League of the Upstate, I will be departing the organization in early April. I have accepted the Director of Learning Development and Diversity Inclusion & Engagement for Hubbell Incorporated, an international manufacturer of quality electrical and electronic products for a broad range of non-residential and residential construction, industrial and utility applications. With 2016 revenues of $3.5 billion, Hubbell Incorporated operates manufacturing facilities in the United States, Canada, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, Mexico, the People's Republic of China ("China"), Italy, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Australia. Hubbell also participates in joint ventures in Taiwan and Hong Kong, and maintains sales offices in Singapore, China, India, Mexico, South Korea, and countries in the Middle East. The corporate headquarters is located in Shelton, CT but I will be based at Hubbell Lighting in Greenville, SC.

Although I am leaving the Urban League of the Upstate, I will remain a strong advocate for the work and will continue as an engaged committee member. There has never been a more important time to remain committed to the work that our community so desperately needs. The Urban League always has and always will be near and dear to my heart.

The UL Board of Directors are actively recruiting a new President & CEO and asks all job candidates to submit their resumes to urbanleagueups@gmail.com.  For more information, contact: Kimberly Arnold at 864.322.4113.
